KEAR provided prime contractor services for a major upgrade project to the fuel farm at Nashville International Airport. This project involved various fuel system modifications including the upgrades to 6 bulk fuel storage tanks. The API 650 tank repairs included installation of reinforcing pads, floor patch plates, tank stair modifications, nozzle replacement, and complete tank internal and external coatings. For each tank the raising of the existing center support columns and replacement of the floating suction arm indicators was also completed. KEAR also performed other miscellaneous upgrades to the existing load racks as well as airside hydrant pit drainage system abandonment and hydrostatic testing of all hydrant-fuel pits.
