KEAR was contracted to provide fuel farm upgrade services at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. KEAR provided complete turn-key civil and mechanical services for the project, including setting & installation of a new Power Distribution Center (PDC), standby generator, 6 new fuel distribution pumps, new filter separator piping, new filter separator piping valves and a new 24” discharge manifold. Major civil improvements included asphalt paving of the facility, new drive/parking areas, a new concrete firewall, drilled shafts for the PDC and site finish grading. The project involved the removal and replacement of all portions of the main fuel discharge header from the fuel farm that feeds the entire airport. This project showcases KEAR’s ability to provide critical Jet-A fuel farm upgrade services with carefully phased and expedited shutdown duration for all operations with ZERO impacts on the fueling operations at one of our nation’s largest airports.
