KEAR was the Hydrant Fuel System Contractor for the new South Concourse West at Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC). The system was constructed as part of the SLC Terminal Redevelopment Program which included a complete new hydrant system of the new terminal. The project included the installation of over 4,800 lf of 12″ jet fuel main which feeds 32 new gates through over 600lf of 6″ lateral piping. In addition KEAR is constructing 5 new isolation valve vaults, all required cathodic protection and a new EFSO system. Following the phased installation of the new system KEAR provided all required flushing, pressure testing and commissioning required to provide the airport with a compliant and operational fuel system. KEAR was recognized on this $2.0B project as the “Safe Contractor of The Quartrer” for the final quarter of 2018.
