KEAR Civil Corporation, as the prime contractor on this project, was contracted to perform API 653 repairs to 2 above-ground storage tanks at Bradley Air National Guard in Bradley, CT. For the tanks at Facility 10418, KEAR removed and replaced the tank bottom chime extension with the annular ring, provided ringwall to tank bottom sealant, repaired the containment dike, level alarms, tank stairs, manways, low suction line, thermal relief piping, water draw-off system, stilling wells, issue piping, receipt piping, center vent screens, tank grounding, supports and repaired the spill containment walls. After the work was complete the tanks were re-strapped and a final API 653 inspection report was completed. KEAR managed all aspects of this project including preconstruction services, design, construction and final acceptance.
